Connect your Madata workspace to Notion

Madata creates and maintains databases in your Notion workspace, picks up what you change there on tasks and opportunities, and Mia answers from the pages you share.

Included in the Mia & connectors subscription, reserved for workspaces that have it.

How do you connect Madata to Notion?

Install the connector from the Marketplace, then start the connection with one click in the Notion app of your Madata workspace, with no key to create. You authorize Madata at Notion and tick the pages Mia can read. Madata then creates a "Madata" page and one database per topic you turn on, and keeps them up to date. The connector is included in the Mia & connectors subscription.

How it works

  1. 1

    You start the connection

Install the connector from the Marketplace. In the Notion app of your Madata workspace, one click starts the connection, with no key to create.

  2. 2

    You authorize at Notion

Notion asks you in its own window. You tick the pages Mia can read there, and you can add more later.

  3. 3

    You choose what goes out

One switch per topic. Madata creates its page and databases, with nothing for you to prepare.

What goes to Notion

Nothing leaves until you turn a topic on. Madata then creates a "Madata" page and one database per topic, with ready-made views such as a board by stage or a calendar of due dates, and keeps those databases up to date.

The page lands in your private Notion section. Move it to a team space to share it.

What comes back

Tasks and opportunities go both ways: a change made in Notion comes back to Madata. Only what changed is written, never the rest of the record.

  • Tasks: the title, stage, due date and done state
  • Opportunities: the title, stage, expected amount and due date

Contacts, sales, customer invoices and products go one way. What you change in those databases does not come back to Madata.

What Mia does with it

Mia is Madata's AI assistant. It works with the pages you share with it.

  • It reads and answers

Mia reads the shared pages and uses them to answer your questions.

  • It searches Notion

You ask for a piece of information, and it searches the pages it can access.

  • It creates pages

Mia asks you to confirm, then creates the page in Notion.

Two more shortcuts

  • A page from a record

The "Create a Notion page" button sits on a customer or opportunity record.

  • The weekly review, optional

Every Monday, Mia drops the weekly review into your Madata page. This uses MIA Tokens.

Security and control

Madata only sees shared pages
You choose which ones at Notion, and you can add more later. Madata has no access to the rest of your Notion workspace.
You cut the connection whenever you want
You can cut the connection at any time from the Notion app in your Madata workspace. Sending stops, Mia forgets the content of the pages it read and access is removed at Notion. Databases already created stay in your Notion workspace.
How your pages are processed
Shared pages are read and vectorized to feed Mia in your workspace. They pass through a third-party AI provider and are not used to train a general model.
Who can access them on your side
Every Mia user in the company can get the content of shared pages. Do not tick a page your colleagues should not read.
